January, you’ve been swell

January is wrapping up and I think this month is one we are happy to see the tail end of. The overall energy of January 2023 has been tiring, don’t you think? Definitely a great month to go into hibernation. Like the trees, the plants and our gardens hidden under the snow (or lack thereof) it’s time to find a good blanket and just curl up under it.

Probably one of the best things you can do for yourself and your own wellness is to just do nothing. Unless something is pressing, just take care of the bare minimum and let it be! Do some dreaming of the past, remember some good times and know that more is in store. Do some dreaming of the future, in the quiet, lay the sparks for great possibilities. The other positive aspect of January in Canada is that it can be a time of hunkering down, getting the little naggy things over with (like finances!). After all who wants to do that stuff once it gets nicer outside?

From a wellness perspective, use this downtime to book a massage, reiki or vibrational sound therapy treatment. Set some wheels in motion with the help of naturopathy. Just go slow if that’s what you feel called to do.

Most importantly, know that January has it’s purpose and January is a lesson in learning that it’s all enough and you are enough. The flow of life and it’s inevitable spring into action will come back. It always does.
